Mark Cornelius founded EMTA in 2014. He is the President of DRI and is still active getting his hands dirty and feet wet in the restoration and cleaning industry. With more than 30+ years he has been an approved IICRC instructor since 2008 and is an IICRC triple Master. Mark is also a former Fire Fighter and EMT-I for 10+ years and also a NPQ-1 Fire Instructor.
Rashelle Cornelius

Rashelle Cornelius has always enjoyed helping others in the cleaning and restoration industry. Rashelle has a unique take on the business as both a professional restorer and a consumer. She has experienced a water damaged home, and then watched her five-year-old home burn to the ground. For the last 25 years she has performed many functions from technician to project manager to business owner. In 2001 she founded Disaster Recovery Industries, Inc. Rashelle is an IICRC Master Water Restorer, Master Fire and Smoke Restorer, and Master Textile Cleaner. Rashelle is also a certified asbestos inspector and lead assessor. She has presented lectures for large consulting companies and done consulting for many restoration firms. Rashelle currently participates in all phases of job production and management.
Rudy Alford
Rudy Alford
Rudy Alford worked for a large franchise firm in the Metro Atlanta area for several years and has a desire to assist others in the cleaning and restoration industry. Rudy had already taken many certification courses over the years before he decided to enter the world of training. He was an accomplished instructor teaching morals and ethics classes for insurance agents and adjusters before becoming an IICRC approved instructor. Rudy has taught thousands of students while traveling coast to coast in the USA and internationally in Australia. He is an IICRC certified triple master and has also served with several IICRC Technical Advisory Committees (TAC).
Thomas Cermak
Thomas Cermak
Thomas Cermak has been in the cleaning and restoration industry for over 4 decades. Thomas has always had a place in his heart for those in the industry who want to learn and has also owned and operated several successful carpet cleaning and restoration firms. Thomas started mentoring other startup companies and often donates his time, knowledge and even supplies to help anyone who asks. He is a certified carpet inspector and hard surface inspector. He is currently one of only 2 instructors in the world able to teach all 5 disciplines necessary to achieve master textile status. When not teaching Thomas can often be found traveling to inspect projects for flooring installation issues and conditions. Thomas can also be found holding mini clinics for students who want advanced training in carpet cleaning, spot dying and repairs.
Dustin Resendiz
Dustin Resendiz
Dustin Resendiz has been in the restoration industry since 2011 as both a technician and a owner. Dustin is unique in that he is bi-lingual, fluent in English and Spanish. He taught English in Mexico for high schoolers at a private school for two years and worked for the Mexican government doing community outreach and humanitarian work. He is now honored to be able to teach as an IICRC approved instructor and continues to run his successful mitigation company.
